Ron Billy

Design & Beautification Chair

Ron was raised in the Rockford area and is a graduate of Harlem High School, Rock Valley College and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture - Design from The University of Illinois Chicago. During his high school years, he had worked for Union Hall in Loves Park but also worked occasionally in their store that was in the heart of the Miracle Mile footprint.

Ron is the President of 1919 Architects (formerly Tyson and Billy Architects) which is in the Miracle Mile, since 2002. He is a licensed architect in twelve states and serves clients in the Midwestern states along with Eastern states such as South Carolina and Florida and Southwestern states of Texas, Oklahoma, and Arizona. His architectural firm specializes in housing, retail/commercial office, educational, ecclesiastical, and industrial projects.

Mr. Billy is one of the original members of the Board of Directors of the Miracle Mile and has enjoyed being a member of this wonderful organization. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Rockford Rescue Mission. Ron previously served as the President of the American Institute of Architects Prairie Chapter (Formerly the Rockford Chapter).
