Marketing & Events Committee ChairOwner, Lallygag Boutique
With a degree in marketing and more than 20 years of experience promoting national brands, Kim moved to Rockford from Madison, WI, in 2013, turning her passion for small business into a thriving clothing boutique in the heart of the Miracle Mile district.
Kim is a firm believer in community and is active in the Winnebago Buy Local coalition, has consistently been recognized as one of the TOP #3 Women’s Boutiques in the region by the Rockford Register Star, and is involved in community events such as Rockford Day, Small Business Saturday, and the Miracle Mile’s Cookie Crawl and Jingle on the Mile.
She is obsessed with supporting like-minded entrepreneurs, small businesses, and non-profits. She frequently invites local crafters and makers to display at her shop. On any given Saturday, you might find a local food truck parked in her lot or an artist set up on her porch creating one-of-a-kind pieces.
Her goal is to let the community know what a vibrant area the Miracle Mile encompasses and shine a light on all of the unique businesses found here.
