Rockford Day Kindness Project

Rockford Day Kindness Project
Join the Rockford Day Kindness Project! This citywide initiative is designed to encourage people to complete 815 Acts of Kindness throughout the community on August 15. There will be Kindness boards posted around the community with uplifting messages and inspiring ideas to get you started. Here's a MAP of the locations.

You are invited to the special kick-off at 8:15am on 8/15 at Fairview Plaza, 3600 E. State St, to celebrate Rockford Day with Mayor Tom McNamara and embrace the spirit of kindness. Participants can pick up a specially designed kindness card for inspiration to get you started.

After you have completed your kindness act(s), post it on your social media with the following hashtags: #BeKind815 and #RockfordDay2023. We may even feature your post on the Rockford Day Facebook page.

Let's all brighten people's day and surprise others with small acts of kindness which will have a big impact on our community. This project was organized by a dedicated committee from Miracle Mile business district, in collaboration with the City of Rockford, RACVB, local businesses, organizations and volunteers.

This event was made possible with a Forward for Fun grant from the City of Rockford and the Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau
