17th Annual Clean up the Mile

Thank you to the many volunteers who helped pick up So.Much.Trash!  Almost 40 volunteers picked up over 60 bags of garbage, including 3 car tires and a car bumper. The weather was perfect and the smiles on all the volunteers faces were beautiful!  

We are thankful for our friends from Crosspoint Church, First Evangelical Covenant Church, Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Rock River Ford, Cricket Wireless, plus our hosts at Upper Cervical Care Center of Rockford.  There were so many other people who also showed up to help.  I apologize for not being able to name you all, but know you are so appreciated for giving your time on a perfect spring Saturday morning.  

Lastly, this event would not be possible if not for Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful (KNIB) and their Great American Cleanup event.  Thanks for providing trash tongs, bags, gloves, safety vests and water.
