Paula Olson Retires, New Executive Director Hired
After almost 20 years with our organization, the last 8 as Executive Director, Paula Olson has officially announced her retirement.  Under Paula's exceptional leadership, the Miracle Mile has achieved significant milestones, including:
 
  • Sidewalks and Street lights along State Street
  • Security Camera Reimbursement Program
  • Annual Trash Cleanup Day for 20 years
  • CurbFest shopping event during COVID Pandemic
  • Drive-in Movie night for 815 Day during COVID
  • Joint marketing events with MMR area businesses
  • Cruise & Car Show fundraiser for 7 years
  • Placing over 300 American Flags along State Street annually
  • Raised over $80,000 for DCL shooting victims
We are profoundly grateful for Paula’s dedication and impactful leadership, which has greatly contributed to the success and growth of our business district.

As we prepare for this transition, we are excited to introduce Amy Hoening as our new Executive Director. A Rockford native, Amy brings a wealth of experience from her work with non-profits and is eager to contribute to our vibrant community. Her fresh perspective and innovative ideas promise to bring new opportunities and growth to businesses within the Miracle Mile.

Together, Paula and Amy will work closely to ensure a strong finish for 2024, blending Paula's expertise with Amy's dynamic energy. We look forward to this new chapter and are confident that Miracle Mile Rockford will continue to grow and thrive under Amy’s leadership.
