Rockford Day & Movies on the Mile

Celebrating the 815 is always a good time, especially along the Mile! We had 12 shops participate in Rockford Day, plus we ended the evening with our drive-in movie night showing a Rockford classic, “A League of Their Own�. This was a great way to enjoy an outdoor movie in a COVID-safe environment.

About 100 families enjoyed a beautiful evening and many younger people saw this movie for the very first time. A highlight was a short video from Helen “Sis� Waddell Wyatt, an original Rockford Peach from 1950-51 seasons. She recalled a fun story of the first game she played and how she got to be a 2nd baseman. What an adventure that must have been to play and travel with the Rockford Peaches!
