Weather Update – Miracle Mile Cruise & Car Show

Update – May 25 @ 6:15 am –  IT’S A GO!

Thank you, Mother Nature,!  It appears the storms are staying to the south of us.  We will be at the Speedway and ready for your cool rides at 8:30 am.  Cruisers use the pit entrance off Forest Hills Rd.  Spectators are welcome, but use the north entrance off Rt 173 and enter thru the main area to the Grandstands.  See you there!  Rain or Shine!

Update – May 24 @ 4pm

The Speedway has given us the Green light to run in the rain, since most all your cars have street tires.  You know your car’s wet driving capabilities, so the decision to run or not will be yours.  So, WE ARE BACK ON for the Speedway at 8:30 am!  Rain or Shine!  Same with the Car show half at Don Carter Lanes!

Update – May 24 @ 12pm

We are monitoring the weather very closely for tomorrow’s event.  The Speedway will determine if it is dry enough for cars to go on the track.  Some light rain is okay, but consistent rain makes it too wet.  We will post a notice on our Facebook page by 7:30am.

It appears there may be a break in the rain late morning. Rain or Shine, we still plan on hosting the Car Show part of our event.  Registration will open at Don Carter Lanes at 10:30am until 1pm.

If you don’t want to bring your car out in the rain, and you pre-registered, stop by before 4pm to pick up your T-shirt, goody bag and dash plaque.  We also have some neat raffle items, including an autographed Dean Lowry bobblehead wearing an Ice Hogs jersey, a NicKey Performance hoodie and more.

We are still selling our 50/50 raffle tickets and will draw the winner at 4pm (or after trophy presentations).  Ticket sales are close to $3,700 as of yesterday and our team is still selling, so we are hoping to award the winner with around $2,000.

Thank you to all who had faith in us to pre-register for and sponsor our event.  Please know that your fees are going to support the efforts of Miracle Mile Rockford and the Vietnam Veteran’s of America-Chapter 984 programs.
