To celebrate Rockford Day, ten (10) locally-owned Miracle Mile business owners are sponsoring an outdoor movie night in the former Magna grocery store parking lot.  These small businesses felt it was important to provide a family friendly, COVID-safe event for our community and to celebrate Rockford on August 15th. We will be showing a Rockford classic: A League of Their Own.  Attendees are encouraged to wear their Rockford apparel, Peaches shirts or their favorite baseball team jersey,

a Huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to help us pick up trash along Keith Creek, East State Street, Dahlquist Park, and the tree line behind the old strip mall/Magna shopping center.  We had 19 volunteers, who picked up about 30 bags of trash including a laundry basket, a couple small tables and a flower pot.  It warms my heart that most of you stayed even though it rained off and on. We had 25 Miracle Mile area businesses participate by giving us either a video and/or photos of their store/business/salon and we featured them one-by-one (posting every 3 – 5 minutes) during our event, which was on Facebook May 15th.  There were also fun Rfd Trivia questions for entertainment value.Miracle Mile purchased gift certificates from each business and created 10 Miracle Mile Shopping Experience packages that attendees of the event could win by Liking, Commenting, and/or Shar
